SUBCONTRACTORS

Focus on your scope.
Keep the drawing in view.

A trade workflow often starts with a few specific lengths and a detail that needs a closer look. Skalet’s current tools support manual plan review without requiring a full estimating workflow.

Review horizontal plan spans

Use point-to-point measurements for spans shown in the drawing. Several saved dimensions can document individual portions of a route; automatic connected route totals are not implemented.

Switch between drawing details

A floor plan and a larger detail can use different scales. Save a named scale for each view and select the right one before creating a measurement.

Prepare a clearer question

Share an exported PDF showing the dimension you want to discuss with the contractor or designer. Keep assumptions about the selected lines explicit.

What to keep in mind

Plan lengths do not include vertical runs, slack, waste, fittings, or assemblies. Skalet does not currently provide complete material orders, symbol counts, or trade estimates.
